What's a Micro-Gathering? Thanks for asking! A Micro-Gathering is a small group of people that meet in a home to watch our Online Service, take communion, and simply be together. Check out the links and FAQ below for more info! |
Micro-Gatherings FAQ:
We are so excited that you have decided to open your home and become a location for people to gather to take communion and worship together. We want to make this experience as easy as possible for you, so below you will find some answers and suggestions to frequently asked questions.
1. Will there be masks?
Yes! We bought a surplus and each house that we know of us has the ability to pick up or have masks delivered.
2. What about communion supplies?
Feel free to pick up some grape juice or crackers at the store. Or swing by the church during the week to pick up a supply bag. We will include some gloves (if needed) so that communion is prepared safely.
3. What should I offer to my guests?
This is a big question… And we leave it up to you! Some houses might make breakfast and others may offer coffee or bottled water. It would probably be a good idea to at least offer something to drink. But do whatever you are comfortable doing. At the end of the day, people will remember how you made them feel more than how tasty your snacks were.
4. Do I have to lead the service?
Almost all of the service will be done digitally except for communion. We have a GUIDE that helps you lead through communion. And it might be a good idea to debrief with some short questions at the end of the service. If you’re uncomfortable with this but would still like to host, reach out to us and we will find someone who can help lead while you host!
5. What about next steps?
We don’t expect you to have all the answers. The easiest answer is to refer your guest to the CONNECT PAGE. They can get in contact with a minister or sign up for a group or send in a prayer request. However, if you’re comfortable having a conversation about following Jesus, go for it! Just let us know how we can help!
