Reimagining Ministry in New England
From it earliest days, CrossPointe Church has been a fellowship of believers that has thought not only about the mission that we have locally, but beyond our local area. In the past, we’ve helped other congregations as a resource of encouragement, wisdom, leadership, and more. We have always imagined the church as something more than single groups of people, isolated in their communities. And it’s in that spirit that we have some very important news to share with you,
Starting in February, Shan Wood will be going to Salem, NH to begin helping Rockingham Christian Church. In many ways, he will be doing exactly what he started doing here here 6 years ago. He is going there as a leadership resource. With this arrangement, we, as a church leadership, are re-imagining The Kingdom. We believe that the Kingdom can be groups of believers in the region of New England working together to spread the hope of Jesus. Shan will still be spending time at CrossPointe, but because much of his time will be spent there and with other leaders and churches in the region, his role at CrossPointe will change.
So what does that mean for CrossPointe? On February 1st, Trey Faull will become the Lead Minister at CrossPointe. Trey and Bailey are certainly not strangers to us. We are all grateful to have him here for over three years now and we are confident in his ability and leadership.
I hope you are as excited as we all are to have Trey and Bailey here. And I hope you are excited about the opportunity to encourage, strengthen and bless others in the region. In the last year churches and church leaders have been reaching out to us for wisdom, direction and for soul care and we are excited that we are in a strong enough position to help. The need for healthy churches, and healthy church leaders, is greater than ever. The blessing of having two capable leaders enables CrossPointe to have double the impact.
